<Bornholio>
thanks, are you going to do the same for 1.3.1 in the near future?
<awang>
I'll see if I can find time this weekend
<Bornholio>
.cheers
<awang>
The main reason I've been holding off is because I don't want to dig through 100+ mod pages to update to 1.3.1
<awang>
And because I've been waiting for Principia stuff
<Bornholio>
I know, its a drag and the mod community is slowed a lot now
<awang>
Performance once I get more than a few satellites has been somewhat poor, and I wanted to see if compiling using -flto or something would help
<awang>
But building is borked in macOS High Sierra at the moment
<awang>
Well, was borked
<awang>
But the workaround involves even more performance issues, so figured I'd wait
<awang>
I'd probably have already gotten around to it if CKAN were more reliable
<Bornholio>
has regex mac built the latest?
<Bornholio>
principia
<awang>
But last time I tried to install using CKAN I got startup crashes
<awang>
So I've been avoiding that
<awang>
IIRC lamont has been doing the builds
<awang>
He's built the latest official release, but there were a few things I wanted to change that would require building my own
<awang>
-flto being one thing
<awang>
Enabling multi-threaded history rendering being another
<Bornholio>
sounds like unity upgrades are in the near future for ksp
<awang>
Oh right
<awang>
For 1.4
<Bornholio>
maybe threadign will improve
<awang>
Wonder how many mods that will break
<awang>
Maybe?
<Bornholio>
all :P
<awang>
Principia threading is distinct from KSP threading
<awang>
And I thought KSP isn't easily threadable
<awang>
Good point
<awang>
Guess a better question is "I wonder how many mods will permanently break"
<Bornholio>
well if i could play/mod more it would matter to me :/
<awang>
You don't?
<Bornholio>
my work load changed by 50 hours so much less lately
<awang>
o_O
<awang>
That's unfortunate
<Bornholio>
money is good .smirk
<awang>
Long work hours aren't :(
<awang>
Depends on whether you're salaried, though, I guess
<Bornholio>
is building real spaceraft machinery better than KSP?
<awang>
Uh
<awang>
Depends on what exactly you're doing?
<awang>
Sounds like an enviable position no matter how you look at it
<awang>
Or at least it does to me
<Bornholio>
I have a satellite transporter environment handler on my plate right now, plus other projects too. but yeah its pretty cool to see picture of hardware going to space in one of my designs
<awang>
OK, yeah, that's pretty cool
<awang>
Working on KSP 1.3.1 changes now
<awang>
Any DLLs you want in particular?
<Bornholio>
I'd like to do at least baseline RO in it but even RSS, & smurff is fun
<awang>
I'll definitely have RO/RSS DLLs
<awang>
SMURFF is just MM configs, right?
<Bornholio>
yes, do you mind if i post links to any you make in a mk1.3.1 spreadsheet later this weekend?
<awang>
That's fine
<awang>
I'll give you the PR links as I get around to them
rsparkyc has quit [Quit: Leaving.]
<Bornholio>
yeah. well off to bed for me
<awang>
Night
<Bornholio>
have fun
<awang>
I certainly will
<awang>
Does RP-0 still need Community Tech Tree?
<awang>
Given that it basically overwrites the entire thing?
