nice looking case, minimalist. it is amazing how CD/DVD sized slots don't matter any more, and the floppy drive space is just entirely gone

my girlfriend has a similar looking case, she has trouble with the ports that face upwards getting dirty easily

hi
<ale260382>
tnx
<stratochief>
has anybody tried out the orbital decay mod? someone asked about it on reddit, I mentioned it, someone else said they'd been using it in RSS/RO for a while, and it works nicely for them out of the box
<ale260382>
does anyone here use ksptot?
<stratochief>
we'd want to test it a little, to ensure it does't mess up any contracts, and check that it puts a reasonable demand on the user to keep stations in orbit
<rsparkyc>
does it have any automatic station keeping logic?
<stratochief>
ale260382: I've taken a shot at learning it a time or two, yeah. too hard for my tastes, and I wasn't really able to get anything out of it I don't get from MechJeb 'advanced transfer'
<ale260382>
oh ive learned to use it, but im having problems with ksptotconnect with the latest rss+rss expanded
<stratochief>
rsparkyc: yes, I believe that it does. I think it eats fuel in order to do station keeping. it might need some adjustment to be able to eat real fuels, and properly detect RF engines, but I dunno
<ale260382>
i cant get the correct bodies file
<stratochief>
ale260382: have you tried with with just RSS? I found it pretty easy with just RSS, if Expanded makes the basic easy process not work, I wouldn't have any useful insight
<ale260382>
no i didn't
<stratochief>
ale260382: did you try following the instructions on the KSPTOT OP forum page? IIRC, that is what I used
<ale260382>
yes and i did that before with previous versions
<ale260382>
maybe the plugin is not compatible wiht 1.2.2
<stratochief>
ale260382: ahh. can't you copy the body files from an old RSS/Extended install?
<ale260382>
i dont think i have any
<stratochief>
ale260382: keep copies of installs, early and often :P
<stratochief>
I have like 50+ different installs of KSP on my computer :P
<stratochief>
riocrokite: I... don't like that color. but personal taste is personal taste. it may fit in with the rest of your office, and office hardware after all
<ale260382>
i just have a 1.1 linux install but without ksptot
<stratochief>
I'm not one to talk I suppose, I have a 50 pound wooden desk from my childhood :P
<stratochief>
ale260382: did you get the new KSPTOT? it appears to have a 1.2 version listed on the OP forum page
<stratochief>
ale260382: alternatively, you could try building a bodies file on an older install, and move it forward
<ale260382>
sure, i used the forum link
<riocrokite>
i picked up for free couple years ago stratochief ;)
<riocrokite>
when it's free it's for me
<stratochief>
riocrokite: lol. yeah, fair enough
<stratochief>
I've grabbed a goodly amount of "next to dumpster" furniture, desks, etc. in my day. living in an appt complex has its benefits
<stratochief>
ale260382: if you read through the last page or two of the KSPTOT forum thread, there may be alternate ways to get that bodies info, like grabbing out out of a save game: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/33568-winmac-ksp-trajectory-optimization-tool-v156-ksp-v12x-compatibility/&do=findComment&comment=2952139
<ale260382>
im trying to do that right now
<stratochief>
ferram4: any progress on the show stopping FAR issue? is there anything that we could do to help? is there an existing Issue in your repo that represents the trouble?
<stratochief>
rsparkyc: you found the bug yourself, so I take it I don't need to test out that ProcAvionics test build?
<rsparkyc>
stratochief: correct
<rsparkyc>
just found out, if you require tech purchases (instead of just unlocking everything when you research a tech node), you do NOT need to purchase the procedural diameter upgrades for them to work
<rsparkyc>
so i guess those parts are in RP-0 just so you know what will be unlocked
<stratochief>
rsparkyc: correct. ideally, even engine configs would show in the tech tree, so you could see at a glance all the goodies a tech node will give you
<stratochief>
rsparkyc: although having an option to have to pay for the diametre upgrade option would be neat as well, if we could have it both ways on different difficulty settings or something

ie. opening up a new tank fabrication line/capability could/should probably cost something
<stratochief>
Thomas: o/ flashing your presence?
<Thomas>
Somewhat
<rsparkyc>
i think that would require a procedural parts change though, to see if you've unlocked that upgrade
<stratochief>
Thomas: how have things been? I only ever hear you talk about updating Kopernicus on occasion, and never actually about if you even -Play- KSP :P
<Thomas>
I update Kopernicus when there is enough new stuff for a release, but I dont play KSP
<stratochief>
rsparkyc: possibly, yeah. NK mentioned that 1.2 should make it easier to make new engine configs show up in the tech tree, but he hasn't been around to implement that or tell us the secret
<stratochief>
Thomas: fair enough. sorry to hear that. what do you do for recreation?
<Thomas>
Well, play as in "not ust testing mods"
<Thomas>
When I dont want to program, I program something different
<Thomas>
Or I watch Youtube :D
<stratochief>
Thomas: lol. have you ever tried RO or RP-0 in a recreational sense?
<Thomas>
When I still played KSP I was too lazy/crazy to play career, and now I dont really have fun in playing ksp anymore (because I know that I wont focus on it log enough to get anything done)
schnobs has joined #RO
<Thomas>
Maybe when DMP/<something>MP gets more sense (and less bugs), I might play again with some friends
<stratochief>
Thomas: yeah, fair enough. I've had many month long stretches where the was the case for me. in those times, I'll generally load up a recreation craft from Raidernick and just fly it. you can have a bit of fun and not do something longterm in KSP, sometimes
<stratochief>

rp-0 is top grade ;)
<stratochief>
Thomas: I have a fascination with numbers and graphs, not code. So I enjoy flying something new and looking at the pretty numbers and pictures a new launcher generates :)

stratochief, at this moment I believe there are no more show-stopping FAR issues, just the applauncher button saying it's off when it's on and vice versa. That gets fixed and it'll be released.
<regex>
sweet
<rsparkyc>
woot
<waerloga>
yay
<blowfish>
ferram4: I think the fix is fairly trivial, I did it in SolverEngines a while back
